At JMU’s School of Accounting, you’ll gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in a wide range of careers, from public accounting and auditing to consulting and information systems. 

Accounting attracts students who are detail-oriented, analytical and organized, and who are comfortable working with numbers, data and technology. They value accuracy, ethical practice and understanding how financial decisions impact organizations.

The program prepares you to analyze financial information and support business decision-making in areas like public accounting, auditing, consulting and corporate finance, where you’ll evaluate financial performance and ensure accurate reporting. Recognized nationally and respected by employers across the Mid-Atlantic, it also offers strong connections to firms as you prepare for the workforce.

  • B.B.A in Accounting (120 credits)
  • M.S. in Accounting (fifth-year program option)
