Theatre Minor

The JMU theatre minor allows students to explore and develop their skills and knowledge in the field of theatre while pursuing a major in another subject. Students have the freedom to explore a wide range of theatre courses according to their interests, all of which will help them explore how theatre performances are created through diverse types of collaboration; how performance forms are related to the cultures they develop out of; and how skills used by artists and audiences also have utility in non-theatrical contexts.

Minor Requirements

The School of Theatre and Dance  offers a minor with options in theatre or dance. No audition or portfolio review is required for the theatre minor or dance minor. A minimum grade of “C” must be achieved in all School of Theatre and Dance  courses that apply to a minor in the School of Theatre and Dance .
