Whether this is your first college adventure or you are joining us with some classes under your belt, we are here to help you get started. Orientation is broken into three phases to help you prepare for the transition to becoming the newest Duke. Learn more about each phase below.
The One Book
The One Book checklist will open for spring 2025 admits on Tuesday, November 5.
Spring Welcome
Spring Welcome begins the weekend before classes and will introduce you to academic and community expectations, campus resources and other new students. Students are expected to attend Part 1 and Part 2.
- Part 1 is Friday, January 17 and is for students and their families/supporters. This is a half-day program and will begin with check-in at 11:45am.
- Part 2 will begin immediately after dinner on Friday and is for students only. There are required programs for students on both Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19.
