This session invites participants to connect their own experiences as mentors and mentees with the literature on faculty support through mentoring networks by reflecting on the different ways in which mentors can support their mentees. This is followed by a discussion of good and bad practices in different mentoring roles.

This workshop is particularly designed for New Faculty Academy mentors but open to all faculty. Especially, first-time NFA mentors are encouraged to participate.

If this is your first time visiting the registration page this semester, you will need to create a new account using your JMU email (@jmu.edu). Be sure to clear your browser cache/cookies upon each visit to the registration page.

REGISTRATION: 

  • The current programs should auto-populate on your screen after creating your account of the mandatory forms. However, to view the programs any time afterwards, when you log in click on "Add to Cart" from the bullet list under the Registration on the Dashboard. Anything already added to your cart appears under "MY CART."
    • Select the program and specific date you would like to attend 

REGISTER 

Register by: Registration is open; however, we recommended registering the day before to ensure participation confirmation and any online meeting link information is received.


Cancellations

If you find that you are unable to attend a scheduled event prior to the registration deadline, please return to your "CFI Program Account" and cancel your registration. If it is after the event registration deadline, please email cfi@jmu.edu as early as possible.


CFI programs will be canceled automatically if JMU is closed for inclement weather.
