Search Firm Selected for JMU Presidential Search

On Friday, April 1, 2011, at the JMU Board of Visitors meeting, JMU board rector, Mr. James Hartman announced that Greenwood/Asher & Associates would serve as the search firm assisting the university in identifying its next president. The firm will provide consulting services to the university's Board of Visitors in order to attract a suitable applicant pool, provide overall guidance to the search process and assist the search committee with the evaluation of candidates. 

"We are excited about the selection of Greenwood/Asher & Associates as the search firm that will assist us in finding the next president of James Madison University. Their knowledge of JMU will serve this process and ultimately this university very well," said Mr. Joseph Damico, chairman of the Presidential Search Committee. 

Greenwood/Asher & Associates is currently under contract with James Madison University for prior work, including the search for the Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts and will be issued a new "Statement of Work."
