The 21st Annual UREC Warm a Winter Wish program will take place on Wednesday, December 12, 1-3 p.m., at University Recreation, sports forum 2, on the JMU campus east of Interstate 81.

Every holiday season, UREC receives wish lists of individuals and families from First Step, Mercy House and Brain Injury Connections of the Shenandoah Valley. Their wishes are hung on a tree for faculty, staff, and students to fulfill. Each year, the gym is lined with wrapped gifts for families and serves as a tangible reminder of the difference we can all make this holiday season.

UREC’s goals included extending their mission to the community with an emphasis on cultivating healthy lifestyles, recognizing that donated gifts connect to a community need. Employees and students will be wrapping donated gifts while participating in a bake off and enjoying live musical performances.
