As GameDay set-up begins, traffic will increase on South Main Street

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Traffic delays are expected Wednesday along South Main Street going through the James Madison University campus as trucks arrive to set up for this weekend’s ESPN GameDay show on The Quad.  

Police will shut down portions of the road temporarily as the trucks arrive. Most of the activity should occur from about midday into early afternoon, but some traffic impacts could occur earlier in the day.   

Motorists should stay alert to instructions from police and may want to avoid South Main Street (U.S. Route 11) as much as possible.
