JMU School of Nursing ranked among Virginia’s best

SUMMARY: RNCareers.org, a nursing education resource, ranked the JMU School of Nursing as the second best in Virginia among 61 schools.


RNCareers.org, a nursing education resource, has recognized JMU as the second-best nursing school in Virginia for its bachelor's in nursing program.   

“This accolade further cements the university’s reputation as a nationally recognized Nursing School of Distinction,” RNCareers.org stated in announcing the rankings.

RNCareers.org annually evaluates more than 1,700 nursing schools nationwide to compile its merit-based rankings. The organization evaluated 61 nursing schools in Virginia 

Factors include program accreditation, tuition costs, academic excellence, faculty qualifications, student satisfaction, program offerings, career outcomes and school reputation.  

“This ranking reflects the expertise and unwavering commitment of our faculty, who work tirelessly to ensure our students receive the best possible education,” said Melody Eaton, director of the JMU School of Nursing. “It also highlights the dedication and hard work of our students, who are the future leaders of health care in Virginia.”
