JMU Nursing Student Association Wins Awards
Office of the ProvostJMU had a great showing at the Virginia Nursing Student Association Convention on January 25. Seven faculty presented at the conference and several students served as volunteers and delegates.
Suzanne Beeckler, Semester 3, won Student Nurse of the Year.
JMU NSA also won the Most Active Constituency (MAC) Award - first place.
Five students won positions on the VNSA board of directors:
Second vice-president - Jamie Burns
Treasurer - Morgan Houseman
Legislation - Sarah Brown
Nominations and Elections - Rachel Napoli
Torch Editor, Skyelar Decker
Sandra Annan, the JMU NSA faculty advisor, also won the Most Supportive Faculty Advisor Award.
JMU NSA hopes to send some of their students to the National Convention in April.
