Artist Statement
The work touches upon themes of time, change, human history, representation, monumental and microscopic forms and how these all interconnect. Cubism, cartoons, graffiti, geometry and more are collaged and recontextualized together in a harmony of esoteric ideas. The confines and boundaries of time are eliminated, allowing spaces to converge and bring forth existential feelings and thoughts. Luminous yellows, expansive blues, melted pinks; in short, all of the colors found in the atmosphere are put to use, tying components together and adding to the ethereal qualities. There is an element of intangibility and unpredictability created by the gathering of disjointed parts and concepts. These qualities are used to work through my ideas and observations of the world and reflect my perception in their confusing nature.
