Creative Scholarship Highlight: Ian Zook
College of Visual and Performing ArtsJames Madison University faculty member and Professor of Horn Ian Zook continues to make a significant impact on the world of classical music with his recent performance at Carnegie Hall alongside the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra on October 15, 2024. Mr. Zook took the stage as part of a powerful performance of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 in D minor under the masterful direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the orchestra’s Music and Artistic Director. This performance also featured the acclaimed mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, along with the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir and Boys Choir, directed by Joe Miller.
