2019-20 BTC Calendar: Craig Underhill and Jim Underhill

One of JMU’s first finance graduates, Jim Underhill (’79) was eager to support the future College of Business Learning Complex when his brother, Craig Underhill (’82), broached the idea. His reasoning? It’s time. Jim and Craig believe the education they received at Madison set them up for considerable success in the banking industry, and their gift to name the Underhill Family Bankers’ Boardroom comes from a shared desire to provide future generations the advantages of premier facilities. Theirs will be a state-of-the-art capital markets boardroom, and the Underhills know it: “We’ve spent a lot of time in boardrooms,” Craig jokes. Jim and his wife, Debbie, have also spent a lot of time in the stands at JMU football games, and they’ve been loyal contributors to the Duke Club for more than two decades. In addition, Jim and Debbie have generously arranged to support finance and accounting scholarships and student-athlete programs by including these in their estate plans.
