2020-21 BTC Calendar: Woodson Martin
Being the ChangeWoodson Martin (’90) has led a dynamic and successful career with Salesforce, the world’s leading CRM platform. Now general manager for Salesforce AppExchange, Martin drives marketplace product strategy, as well as co-marketing and enablement for thousands of technology partners around the world. But the trilingual JMU English graduate does not confine himself to the virtual world of information technology. He rolls up his sleeves on the U.S.-Mexico border as a Team Brownsville board member, assisting people legally seeking asylum in the United States by providing basic necessities, meals,schooling for children, transportation and translation services. Martin has turned his passion for renewing civil society into a gift to establish a Democracy Fellowship in the James Madison Center for Civic Engagement. The first Woodson Martin Democracy Fellow, JMU freshman Mary Tolentino, is focusing on immigrant communities of the Shenandoah Valley.
