The Dickersons
College of EducationFor three decades, Z.S. "Dick" Dickerson and his late wife, Mildred, influenced the lives of students in business and in education. Part of a wave of new faculty joining Madison College in 1958, the Dickersons broke new ground in their respective fields. Dick led what would become the university's College of Business, instituting some of the university's first technology. Mildred, herself a pioneer as a woman professional and educator, influenced her students year after year, becoming to many the standard of excellence for early elementary teachers. Their commitment to students changed thousands of lives and continues through the Dr. and Mrs. Z.S. Dickerson Endowed Scholarship.
