Marshall Price ('75, '80M)
College of EducationWhen Betty Ball Mann (‘58) nominated Marshall Price for “Be the Change”, she wrote: ”Marshall has made a difference in vocational education. [He is] a great leader who challenges old ideas.” At Massanutten Technical Center, master tradesmen come together with secondary students to create an unparalled learning experience. As director of MTC, Marshall has worked to change the perception of vocational education. Because of his leadership, vocational students can now earn industrial certification and college credits through dual enrollment partnerships with area colleges and universities. Marshall says MTC gives students opportunities to have a prosperous future while supplying a critical pipeline in the valley’s economic health.
