Canada to provide technical support for resource mobilization in Cambodia’s demining efforts

(Khmer Times) Thailand-based Canadian Ambassador to Cambodia and Laos Sarah Taylor affirmed Canada’s commitment to provide technical assistance on resource mobilization for the demining efforts in Cambodia.
During a meeting on February 10 with Senior Minister and the First Vice President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority Ly Thuch and other Mine Authority officials, Ambassador Taylor reviewed data on demining and management and research on land affected by UXOs or landmines.
Ambassador Taylor praised the achievements of the demining efforts in Cambodia. the Ambassador confirmed that Canada will continue to cooperate with the Royal Government to make Cambodia mine-free by 2025.
