(khmertimes) Ly Thuch, first vice-president of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), highlighted Cambodia's efforts to foster peace and security while attracting global investors. During a meeting with Henry Savarimuthu, consulate of Vanuatu, on March 18, 2024, Savarimuthu congratulated Cambodia for hosting the Siem Reap-Angkor Summit on a Mine-Free World.

Vanuatu pledged support for Cambodia's presidency and its aspiration for a demining-free Pacific region. Ly Thuch expressed gratitude for Vanuatu's support and outlined Cambodia's vision for regional demining efforts. Cambodia aims to involve other island nations in the Pacific to join the Ottawa Convention. Through cooperation with UNESCAP and Pacific Island Forum, Cambodia seeks to establish a demining-free zone in the Pacific.
