Multinational EOD Technicians Dispose of WWII ERWs in Nauru

(DVIDS) Operation Render Safe Nauru, led by Australia from May 7 to June 1, 2024, in Yaren, Nauru, involved service members from the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and France. The operation aimed to exchange explosive ordnance disposal techniques and reduce the risk of WWII remnants.

Teams, including the US Marine Rotational Force – Darwin and others, collaborated with Nauru's government and police. They built secure structures at RAAF Base Amberley and disposed of 18 explosive remnants of war. The mission enhanced local safety and underscored international commitment to explosive remnants of war hazard reduction.
