Nearly 25,000 items of UXO Pulled from Cambodian Rivers in Two Years

(Khmer Times) "The Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) reports it has found and removed 24,699 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in addition to 27 tonnes of steel plates, ships wreckage and pieces of munitions from a river in Kandal province.
The discovery was made on on Thursday at the waterway in Peam Reang Krom village, Peam Reang commune, Loeuk Dek district. Of the UXO recovered, 8,246 live munitions, and 13,037 mines were destroyed."
