(sUAS News) Demining Ukraine's 144,000 sq. km of land could take over 70 years and cost 33.5 billion euros using current technology. However, Ukrainian tech entrepreneur V’yacheslav Shvaidak aims to make this process faster, cheaper, and safer by developing a robotics and drone solution in Denmark, supported by the Odense Robotics StartUp Fund.
By leveraging AI and drone swarms, Dropla Tech ApS can reduce the cost of demining from 1-3 euros per square meter to just 10 cents and cut the timeline from 70 years to 12. This technology is crucial not only for safety but also for food security, as landmines have affected 26,000 sq. km of Ukraine's agricultural land. Dropla’s technology is currently being tested in Ukraine and aims to revolutionize demining efforts globally by creating safe, arable land for food production and civilian use.
