(NikVesti) The Government of Ukraine has committed to fully covering the costs of demining agricultural lands for farmers, a significant shift from the previous policy that compensated up to 80% of costs. The updated program allows farmers with tax debts related to land or single tax of group IV to participate. Demining service procurement must be conducted through the Prozorro system, with at least two participants involved. The program, set to take effect upon publication, aims to support agricultural producers in clearing their lands for the next planting season.
The Center for Humanitarian Demining will soon announce tenders for these services, with 135 applications already submitted for 3,897 plots, totaling over 17,252 hectares. The initiative is available to farmers in de-occupied territories where there is confirmed or potential contamination by explosive objects, provided the land is outside a 20-kilometer zone from the battle line or state border.
