The economics department at JMU held its inaugural Executive Advisory Council meeting on March 15. Following a department update from Ehsan Ahmed, the newly assembled council met with faculty and both the current and incoming department heads. After lunch they connected with ECON399 coordinators Angela Smith and Joanne Doyle and were treated to presentations by associate dean Molly Brown and director of experiential learning Sam Collier. The discussions at this first meeting probed how to help more econ majors get internships and jobs after graduation.
Meet the new board members.
