For Sixth Year in a Row, JMU Among Top Institutions

The Center for Global Engagement is proud to spotlight the recognition received for our Study Abroad programming. For the sixth year in a row, JMU ranks as the #1 in leading institutions of its type for participation on all types of study abroad programming, according to the 2020 Open Doors Report.

Additionally, JMU also ranks #1 for participation on short-term study abroad programs according to the 2020 Open Doors Report.

JMU Study Abroad boasts, on average, 70+ short-term programs available during summer, spring break, and winter terms; 5 semester programs available during fall, spring, and summer terms; 12+ exchange partnerships with universities around the world available during the fall and spring semesters; and several opportunities for external programming available year-round. The wide variety of program options, plus the opportunity to study in 50+ countries attracts students to this opportunity from majors all across campus.
