- Whats your favorite part of your job?
"I get to be creative and work with talented people, while sharing one of my greatest passions, Education." - You have your own late night talk show, who would you invite as your first guest and why?
"My grandmothers. I wish I had asked them more questions and learned more from them when I had the chance. They were the wisest women I have ever known." - What could you talk about for 30 minutes with no notes?
"How continuing my education with ADP changed my life, forever."

Haley Jade Iden – Program Coordinator, Adult Degree Program
- Whats your favorite part of your job?
"The people!" - You have your own late night talk show, who would you invite as your first guest and why?
"Emma Stone; because she is funny, I like her films, and I want to ask her about her dream of being on 'Jeopardy'" - What could you talk about for 30 minutes with no notes?
"National Parks/Geology/Reality TV (Bravo, Bachelor)"
Laurissa Kennedy – Assistant to the Dean
- Whats your favorite part of your job?
"I enjoy supporting the work of everyone here at SPCE and knowing a little bit about everything we do! Our programs offer such unique and forward-thinking opportunities, and I love being connected to both JMU and the local community. - You have your own late night talk show, who would you invite as your first guest and why?
"Probably a famous chef or food personality, like Alex Guarnaschelli or Stanley Tucci - I love learning about cultures and other people's lives through food. They'd also have to do a demo!" - What could you talk about for 30 minutes with no notes?
"I could talk about health and wellness - its' meaning has evolved over the course of my life so far, and I've become more and more passionate about it."
Jess Stallings – Program Coordinator, Professional Development
- Whats your favorite part of your job?"Other than being able to interact with the lovely people in our office (as a former nanny of small children and babies, my daily workplace discussion wasn't that...stimulating), I love being able to develop best practices to streamline my workflow; I get a ton of satisfaction from learning technology and problem solving."
- You have your own late night talk show, who would you invite as your first guest and why?
"If it were low budget, probably my mom and/or my partner. We could host our own podcast with how much we ramble on about random things. With a higher budget, I’d pick Jenn White from NPR's 1A. I can listen to her talk for hours." - What could you talk about for 30 minutes with no notes?
"So many things. Currently, I’ve been thinking a lot about popular media. Particularly, the issues and pervasiveness of celebrity worship and how ableism in media portrayals of disability impact the structure of society."
Clay Sutton - Enrollment Specialist, Adult Degree Program
- What is your favorite part of your job? (so far!)
"Getting to be around such great people every day!" - If you had your own late night talk show, who would you invite as your first guest and why?
"If I had my own talk show (and if he was still alive or if I could go back in time) I would want to interview former President Ulysses S. Grant, because I enjoy history and this summer I've been reading a biography on his life, so I've been thinking about how important his role he was in American history." - What could you talk about for 30 minutes with no notes?
"I am a sports nerd in general, but especially enjoy football season, both college (go Dukes!) and NFL (go Lions!)."
Christina Henriksen - Presidential Engagement Fellow
1. What is your favorite part of your job?
"My favorite part of the job is the flexibility I have had with creating my contribution to ADP and SPCE. I am really excited about building relationships with fellow students to help them complete their own college journey."
2. If you had your own late night talk show, who would you invite as your first guest and why?
"If I had a late-night talk show, the first guest I would have on my show would probably be Paul Stamets. Paul is a naturalist who has made a huge impact on the field of fungal ecology, and how fungi may be used as an application for solving some of the greatest environmental challenges of our time."
3. What could you talk about for 30 minutes with no notes?
"What could I talk about for 30 minutes without notes would probably be something science related. I am a Bio major, and I love to geek out about research I have just read."
