LLI and Our New Director Connects with Campus
School of Professional & Continuing Education (SPCE)![](../2024/lli_open_house_-_22.jpg)
SPCE staff have been working hard to recruit LLI members on campus. In early December, Dr. Amanda Kellogg, Interim Director for LLI spoke to recent JMU retirees at the retirement breakfast. Dr. Kelloggs' remarks emphasized the value of fueling and encouraging continued intellectual curiosity among recent retirees and how LLI can play a pivotal role in their new transitional stages of life. Dr. Kellogg highlighted the many avenues through which LLI helps its members get and stay connected socially, including walking groups, travel opportunities, and regular social gatherings.
On January 14th, LLI hosted its Spring Open House, where LLI members got their first look at the spring course catalog. Instructors set up booths to showcase their classes and answer questions from prospective students. Festival Ballroom was filled with great conversation, laughter, and enthusiasm throughout the event, and LLI members left excited about the wide array of courses being offered this term. The Open House is always a successful event, and we are grateful to the LLI staff and LLI Advisory Board members who make it possible.
Please welcome our new Director!
