Maureen Metcalf is a highly respected executive advisor and the visionary founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Innovative Leadership Institute. With a passion for education, Maureen has imparted her knowledge to students across various universities as an esteemed educator. She serves as the Vice President of James Madison University’s School of Strategic Leadership Studies Advisory Committee and Franklin University’s Mason Leadership Center, demonstrating her commitment to advancing the study and practice of strategic leadership, where she earned an honorary Doctorate.
Dan Mushalko is Vice President for Media & Research with the Innovative Leadership Institute, where he produces and edits Innovating Leadership: Co-Creating Our Future, a top leadership podcast (and ranked in the top 0.5% of podcasts worldwide). He is also a leadership course facilitator for Institute clients, and co-leads a leadership course with ILI founder/CEO Maureen Metcalf for James Madison University. He has earned several leadership certifications from ILI. He is also certified as a VUCA Max Warrior coach.
Dan’s career has been a continual weaving of writing, science, media, and leadership. He was the assistant editor of his university humor magazine, an in-house copywriter for an East Coast ad agency while studying applied physics, a scriptwriter for a national science-based radio adventure series, launched an award-winning radio science show, taught creative writing, performed as a supplemental science teacher and presenter for school districts, and spoke and guest-lectured on writing, science, and science fiction at conventions, seminars, university classes, and national meetings for science associations. He has also held management/leadership positions in organizations of all sizes.
His awards include best feature reporting from New Jersey’s Society of Professional Journalists, and the prestigious Westinghouse Science Journalism Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
