- Spring semester: March 1
Eligibility
- All undergraduate students at JMU are eligible and encouraged to participate in the Peace Corps Prep program, regardless of major, minor, department, academic year, or participation in other programs.
- Applications should be submitted at least two semesters before your expected graduation date. If you are a current
fourth-year student, you may be considered–contact PC Prep Coordinator.
Steps for applying to the Peace Corps Prep Program
- Review the JMU PC Prep Program Student Guide.
- Watch the virtual information session and application "how to" videos in Canvas.
- Complete the Peace Corps Prep online application,
preferably by the fall or spring deadline, but applications are accepted year-round. - Email a Peace Corps Prep Coordinator to schedule an introductory Zoom meeting before recieving admission into the program or drop-in to our virtual office hours in Canvas soon after applying.
Completing the Peace Corps Prep Program
- Complete the coursework and other requirements.
- Submit documentation of completing all requirements for the Peace Corps Prep program through Terra Dotta.
- Complete the Exit Checklist.
- Receive your official certificate from the Peace Corps!
