Break Description

east coast migrant head start group

Join us to support East Coast Migrant Head Start Project (ECMHSP), a program dedicated to preparing children of migrant and seasonal farmworkers for success. Since 1974, ECMHSP has provided holistic, high-quality early childhood education in a nurturing environment, serving nearly 3,000 children annually across 48 centers in 7 states.

Our service will vary based on ECMHSP’s needs at the time, but we expect to work in the classrooms and outdoor facilities.

We’ll drive to Faison, NC in a JMU van and we’ll be housed in a local church. Our hosts are kindly letting us use their showers and kitchen. Plan to bring a pillow and sleeping bag.

Our partners have assured us that housing and service sites are accessible to those who use wheelchairs.

Come join us for a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience!

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!
