Welcome New Students! We're glad you chose JMU!

Please review your Deposit Invoice to determine the amount you need to pay. Enrollment Deposit payment options can be viewed below. Keep in mind, deposit payments postmarked or made online on or before the due date will meet the deadline.

Pay with a bank account

Pay from a checking or savings account that allows ACH debits. All you need is your bank routing and account number to enter into the system.

Go to MyMadison to pay your deposit via bank account by logging in with your username and password. Parents can make a payment as a Guest with the student's ID and last name.

Pay with a credit or debit card

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit and debit cards. This method does incur a service charge in addition to the deposit amount.

Go to MyMadison to pay your deposit via credit or debit card by logging in with your username and password. Parents can make a payment as a Guest with the student's ID and last name.

Pay with a check

Checks can be mailed to our office through the Postal Service or other mail services. There is no need to choose expedited (or other extra cost shipping) for your deposit. Make checks out to JMU.

What happens next

Deposits post to your account within two business days of receiving the payment. The student can expect to receive an email welcoming them once the deposit posts to their account. At that time, incoming First-year and Transfer students are required to change their e-ID password so they can sign into the One Book website through the Orientation Website and begin their One Book steps.

Now that your deposit is in, check out more information here on managing and setting up your student financial account.

Change your mind?

There is a process through the Admissions Office if you decide not to attend our university. Please visit their website to get that process started.
