The Gus Bus is a community literacy and academic enrichment program serving PreK-5th grade students in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Each spring the Morrison Bruce Center partners with the Gus Bus for their Family Engagement Nights. These events, held at Gus Bus neighborhood bus stops and elementary schools, offer educational activities, free resources, and support for parents and guardians. The MBC offers programming related to physical activity, nutrition, & wellness.
Goal: To encourage and enable families to be physically active together.
Who: Elementary School in the Harrisonburg school district.
When: Various afternoons during the spring semester.
Where: Various locations around Harrisonburg
Cost: Free!
