Scholarship Overview

An endowed scholarship established with a gift by Meda S. Lane '71, her husband, Christopher English, her  brother,  Richard G. Lane, and his wife, Ellen F. Lane in memory of her parents, Murray B. Lane, Jr., CPA and Sandra K. Lane, who highly valued education and instilled this value in their children.  The Lane family wishes to honor their memory by helping to make education more affordable for others.

Eligibility Requirements

• The Murray & Sandra Lane Accounting Scholarship Endowment in the College of Business will provide funds annually to an outstanding undergraduate student scholar who is enrolled in the College of Business
• And demonstrates the need for financial assistance as determined by the University's Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. 
• The appointment of a student as a Murray & Sandra Lane Scholar shall follow the University's guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.       
• To be considered for the Murray & Sandra Lane Accounting Scholarship, an applicant must satisfy the specified conditions listed above. 

Special application requirements

This scholarship specifies a “need component”. To be eligible you MUST HAVE A CURRENT FAFSA on-file with the James Madison University Office of Financial Aid.
