Honor an extraordinary visionary and leader
Vida Huber was the extraordinary leader and visionary who formed JMU's pioneering Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services. Her idea was to bring together faculty expertise and student-learning experiences with meeting community need.
Your gift to grow the Huber Endowment will help ensure her vision in perpetuity and offer students opportunities for hands-on learning through service, internships and projects connected to their course work. This approach means that JMU is improving healthcare in ways that give real help to real people right now.
"The institute pursues innovations in health and human services by conscientiously connecting academic dedication to education, research and service with community awareness of what people truly need," says institute director Rhonda Zingraff.
It's hands-on. It's problem solving. It's JMU.
By giving to the Huber Endowment, you can help fund the work of the institute's engaged professors and students who, like Huber, are committed to making the world a better place and ensuring that vulnerable populations are not forgotten.
Your gift makes it possible.
