Honor a student's legacy and support nursing majors

You can honor the legacy of Victoria F. Alcantara ('10), a model nursing major, well-rounded student and an active member of alpha Kappa Delta Phi.

Your gift to this scholarship established by her sorority will "support nursing students at JMU in becoming successful nurses who help others, thus fulfilling the dream that Victoria could never fulfill herself," said aKDPhi President Jay Ahn.

"When I think about Victoria, I remember her smile and her eagerness to become an excellent nurse," said Dr. Merle Mast, former head of the Nursing Department. "Her death is a huge loss, not only to us, but to the nursing profession and to healthcare as we face a growing nursing shortage.”
