JMU Statement on the Discontinuation of DACA

James Madison University recognizes the inherent value and dignity of every Duke. We are home to many students and faculty who come from all around the world, and we all benefit from their energy, spirit, and diverse backgrounds.
It is our hope that the DACA students currently enrolled will be able to continue their education here at Madison. We stand with and will continue to support these students during their time here, to the greatest extent possible under the law.
Our university community will continue to be deeply committed to values of inclusion, access, and diversity. We will also be working with our national higher education organizations, the Virginia Attorney General’s Office, and other institutions of higher education in the days ahead to understand how we can best support these students.
