Terry McAuliffe kicks off virtual candidate forums

Democrat Terry McAuliffe, a 2021 candidate for governor, will be the guest at a virtual town hall 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 hosted by the James Madison Center for Civic Engagement. 

The town hall can be joined via Facebook live at https://fb.me/e/1mbTLg0TH

McAuliffe served as Virginia’s 72nd governor from 2013-17. Last week he announced his candidacy for governor in 2021 and released his plan for education in the Commonwealth. 

JMU Civic has invited all declared candidates for state offices to appear in the series. 

Republican gubernatorial candidate Kurt Santini will be the guest at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 and Republican Jason Miyares, a candidate for attorney general, will appear at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22.
