JMU Health Update - March 31

JMU News

Dear JMU Family,

Update on Cases
The university observed 9 new positive cases of COVID-19 at the University Health Center yesterday. With 3 cases considered “recovered,” the total number of active cases is now at 55. The number of open quarantine and isolation beds is 403 out of 434. More information can be found on the university’s Stop the Spread dashboard.

If you have had COVID-19 before, you can still get it again or be a carrier of the virus. All community members need to practice preventative measures, such as wearing a mask when around other people (even outside), washing your hands, maintaining physical distance and disinfecting surface areas.

Free Student Testing
Testing continues on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Warren Hall 502. Students can sign up for an appointment and walk-ins are also accepted. Faculty and staff testing is available from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Testing takes less than 10 minutes, and you’ll receive your results in 20 minutes!
