Holiday Greetings from President King

Dear JMU community, 

This time of year presents an opportunity to reflect on accomplishments and challenges, prepare to spend quality time with family and friends, and begin looking forward to the start of a new year. 

I consider our work together and our partnership during this time of transition at JMU as a notable accomplishment for the institution. I could not serve in this role without the support I’ve received from the JMU community. It has been an enjoyable and very busy but productive semester! 

As I continue to reflect, the commencement ceremony is another successful milestone that is important for me. In just a few days, we will recognize the 2024 December graduates, and I extend a heartfelt congratulations to all of those graduating. Your hard work and perseverance led you to reach this incredible milestone, and you should be very proud.
