JMU's license for Cisco Webex set to retire

JMU’s license for Cisco Webex will expire on June 1, 2023. All current users should prepare now to use one of our other two video conferencing platforms, Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Instructors using Webex for Spring courses may continue doing so for the remainder of the semester, but instructors of Summer courses should NOT use Webex. Anyone using Webex for meetings should discontinue this use as soon as possible.
IT Training offers a monthly Microsoft Teams Overview course, in which any employee can enroll through MyMadison using the course code IT711. IT Training is also available to train individual departments for Microsoft Teams upon request. Contact ittraining@jmu.edu to learn more.
IT Training and the JMU Libraries offer a collaborative Zoom: Keys to Effective Online Meetings course, which will be offered around the New Faculty Orientation in August.
