These two clips from the Furious Flower archives feature Amiri Baraka and Askia Touré talking about the importance of the arts and activism. The first shows the two men at the 1994 Furious Flower Poetry Conference, sharing their thoughts about entrepreneurialism and activism’s place in the Black Arts Movement. In the second, from the 2004 Furious Flower Poetry Conference, Baraka talks about the power inherent in the arts and the importance of using that power to create change.
