Let it snow!
NewsWinter break was a great opportunity for me to go back to Egypt and see my family and friends. My return trip to Harrisonburg included a long 12 hour flight and a bus from Dulles International Airport to Harrisonburg. The plan was to sleep for the whole trip, but then I saw this!
Coming from a country with warmer weather, this was the first time I saw snow! I spent the entire bus trip looking out the window, so excited, and taking so many pictures and videos.
A few days later, I woke up and looked out the window and it was snowing! I couldn’t waste the opportunity to go outside while it was snowing.
Experiencing this for first time was great! For the whole day, instead of going directly to my destinations, I took longer routes to see more of it! In the evening, after a dinner with friends, and I forced them to pass by the Quad. The Quad was beyond beautiful.
It is really interesting how something that is normal for some, can be a great new experience for others. It can be as simple as just a snowy day. This day transformed me.
Like tourists in Egypt who look with wonder at our Pyramids or lovely warm weather by the beach, I walked the streets of Harrisonburg during the snow with excited open eyes. I took pictures of everything. It was amazing seeing snow for the first time!
