2015 SRM Senior Send Off
NewsThe Sport and Recreation Management faculty and students celebrated the senior class accomplishments with the 2015 SRM Senior Sendoff on Thursday, April 16 at JMU’s Montpelier Room.
JMU Associate Athletic Director Kevin White served as keynote for the event, providing students with a lasting message that he carries with him each day: PUSH. The acronym stands for Purpose, Understanding, Servant Leadership, and Humility. White encouraged the graduating seniors to recognize the influence they have now rather than waiting until they begin the next stage of their lives.
Five graduating seniors were honored for their outstanding achievements. Aryton Glasper was named the SRM Outstanding Senior as voted on by the faculty for his work in and out of the classroom. The SRM Highest GPA awards went to Austin Davidson and Tori Lugar. SLAM, the student organization for SRM majors, honored two seniors for their dedication and participation in the club: Taylor Tuccito and Sean Wheeler.
The SRM program celebrated 124 seniors who are graduating in May or who have graduated this past December. Commencement ceremonies for the SRM class will take place Friday, May 8 at 7 p.m. at Bridgeforth Stadium.
