To the JMU community,
Happy new year! As faculty and staff return to campus and students are beginning to return to the area, we will be providing testing opportunities and partnering with the Virginia Department of Health for vaccine clinics.
COVID-19 open testing
- For students, faculty and staff with symptoms or who have been exposed to someone positive for COVID-19
- 9 a.m.–noon
- Warren Hall 502
- Sign up is required using your JMU email address. You may only sign up for one appointment per week; a new link will be available each week. Walk-ins will not be accommodated at this time.
- This testing is provided by the university and is free to all students, staff and faculty.
- When you arrive, you will be asked to download the Navica App and present your JACard.
To ensure testing resources are being used most effectively, take-home COVID tests will no longer be distributed. Open testing will continue weekly throughout the semester as supplies remain.
Please do not visit the Emergency Room for testing unless you are having trouble breathing or other warning signs.
COVID-19 vaccine and booster
Vaccine clinics are being held at JMU's Convocation Center. Sign up through VASE and use 22807 for the zip code. Check Vaccinate Virginia for other locations offering the vaccine.
Getting the vaccine, and the booster for those who are eligible, is still the best way to protect yourself from the effects of COVID-19 and its variants.
