Paperless citations

As of August 1, vehicles registered with Parking and Transit Services no longer receive physical copies of citations when cited for parking in violation of JMU parking regulations. Instead, an email notification of the citation will be sent to the email address on file in the driver’s account. Citation recipients have ten days from the date of the email to appeal the citation. 

In addition to email notification, customers are encouraged to sign up to receive text notifications if their vehicle receives a citation, or if their semester parking permit is expiring. Sign up for text notifications at the Parking and Transit Services web portal at jmu.aimsparking.com.
