Why I want to serve on the Task Force:
The opportunity to serve on this task force provides an opportunity to shape the future of JMU and expand on the work of those before us. The product of this task force will contribute to creating a more welcoming environment and have a better understanding of the individuals who make up our valued community will allow the future generations of Dukes to thrive. There's opportunity to show the greater community that this type of conversation and work doesn't need to be political but can be focused on the importance and value of each individual.
