Scholarship Overview
An endowed scholarship, the Dr. Albert & Celia Mitchell - Ernst & Young Scholarship in Accounting will provide annually to one (or more) outstanding undergraduate student scholar(s) in the fourth or fifth year of an accounting major. The appointment of a student as Dr. Albert & Celia Mitchell - Ernst & Young Scholar shall follow the University's guidelines for the awarding of scholarships and the following additional criteria: First, eligible scholarship recipients should demonstrate an intention to enter accounting employment upon graduation from James Madison University. Second, recipients of the Dr. Albert & Celia Mitchell - Ernst & Young Scholar will be selected in a manner determined at the discretion of a committee consisting of the head of the Accounting Department and two senior members of the Accounting Department faculty, selected at the discretion of the head of the Accounting Department.
