Scholarship Overview
An endowed scholarship established by the following members of the Spindel Family: Jonathan H. Spindel, Edward L. Spindel, Michael R. Spindel, David A. Spindel, Herbert Spindel and Bernard B. Spindel to be known as The Murray Spindel Scholarship Endowment. The Spindel Family created this scholarship in celebration of Murray Spindel's 80th birthday and in recognition of his life-long career as an educator. The family (and friends) of Murray Spindel wish to honor Murray Spindel by helping to make education more affordable for those who would choose teaching as a profession. Through this Scholarship, funds will be provided annually to an outstanding undergraduate student scholar engaged in the study of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. The selection of a student as a Murray Spindel Scholar will be administered in a manner determined at the discretion of the Dean for The College of Integrated Science and Technology, in collaboration with the University's Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of a Murray Spindel Scholar shall follow the University's guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
