Scholarship Overview
An endowed scholarship established by John & Gail Hudson Guthrie, the Gail Hudson Guthrie '72 Scholarship Endowment will provide financial resources annually to one or more students in the Department of Early, Elementary and Reading Education within the College of Education. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have demonstrated (a) a passion to become a teacher (b) a need for financial assistance, as determined by the University's Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, and (c) planned completion of their student teaching requirement during the semester the scholarship is awarded. The selection of Gail Hudson Guthrie '72 Scholars shall be made in a manner determined at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Education. Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of a student to receive this scholarship shall follow the University's guidelines.
