Scholarship Overview
An endowed scholarship established with a gift from Betty Ball Mann '58, the Betty Ball Mann '58 Endowment for Special Education Scholarships will provide funds annually to an outstanding student engaged in the study of Special Education within the College of Education. To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the University's Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. The Donor directs that the student scholar selection process to be administered by the College of Education shall include a preference for students who are in the fifth year of the five-year program of study; and, students who demonstrate plans to pursue a professional career working with and/or diagnosing children with learning disabilities, including children with reading disabilities.Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of a student as a Betty Ball Mann '58 Scholar shall follow the University's guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
