Scholarship Overview

An endowed scholarship established by Charles F. and Lane B. Witthoefft in appreciation of the fine education their three sons and other family members received while attending James Madison University.This scholarship is intended to benefit a JMU student who exhibits financial need. The recipient must file a Free Financial Aid Form by March 1 of the enrolling year. The recipient will receive the scholarship for one academic year and is eligible to reapply for the scholarship in subsequent years. The Director of Scholarships, upon recommendation of the Office of Financial Aid, will select the scholarship recipient.
