Scholarship Overview
Award (s) to be given to undergraduate history majors each semester to help with educational travel expenses to: out of town conferences to present conference papers or to out of town collections to complete research for either a: 1) senior honor's thesis; 2) a paper for presentation at a statewide, regional or national conference; or 3) a paper for publication by a recognized journal (undergraduate or professional). Students would be eligible to receive the award only once during their academic careers at JMU. Students need to submit an application for the award and receipts for reimbursement to a three person committee consisting of history department faculty; winners would be announced September 30 for the fall semester and January 30 for the spring.
